Women as Climate Change Mitigation Catalyst

Women as Climate Change Mitigation Catalyst is a transformative initiative that recognizes women as essential drivers of climate action across Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction, Indigenous Knowledge, Art and Culture, and Political Participation and Advocacy. The project aims to strengthen women’s capacities in climate governance, enabling their active participation in decision-making processes while supporting women-led initiatives for sustainable development, climate mitigation, and adaptation.

By enhancing women’s role in disaster risk reduction, the project promotes climate-resilient communities and sustainable development. The implementation strategy focuses on providing capacity-building and facilitating discussions on indigenous knowledge systems, equipping women with tools for effective climate change mitigation, adaptation, and disaster risk reduction.

This approach integrates traditional wisdom with contemporary climate solutions, empowering women to become influential agents of change in their communities while ensuring their voices are centered in crafting long-term, sustainable solutions for future generations.
